The Lowest Tobacco Black Market in Poland’s History
A few years ago, one in five cigarettes smoked in Poland came from smuggling. The latest data now shows that only one in twenty does.
This is according to the latest reports from the Institute for Market Research and Consulting ALMARES – Empty Pack Survey Poland. For years, it has been monitoring the tobacco market in the country on behalf of all companies in the industry.
The authors of the report emphasize that the scale of cigarette smuggling from the East has been reduced thanks to tighter border controls and coordinated actions by national authorities.
