Polish Trade Fair Voucher
Recognizing the significant role of trade fairs as an effective tool for reaching consumers, business partners, and stakeholders, as well as a source of innovation in many important sectors of the economy, the National Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, on behalf of the trade fair industry, appealed to President Andrzej Duda to support the initiative presented to the Government of the Republic of Poland, aimed at introducing a new tool to support the trade fair and conference sector.
The proposed solution by the Federation is the “Polish Trade Fair Voucher”, a financial form of support from the state, which could be utilized by all entrepreneurs, associations, institutions, and organizations participating in trade fairs. The Polish Trade Fair Voucher, in the form of a subsidy for the exhibition stand, would have a significant impact on restoring the professional activity of many Poles and serve as a driving force for many businesses. Trade fairs and conferences, as forms of marketing and platforms for selling products and services of numerous companies, are an important element in the process of rebuilding the Polish economy.
We are saving jobs with the government program #PolishSewingFactories
The National Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises joined the government program for mask production #PolishSewingFactories, overseen by the Industrial Development Agency. As representatives of entrepreneurs, we could not remain indifferent to the plight of the clothing industry, which suffered greatly due to the pandemic. Our role in the program was to identify clothing sector companies that needed support. Thanks to this initiative, we were able to save many Polish textile companies from collapse and preserve thousands of jobs.
We are intervening regarding the trade ban
The National Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, along with the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers, has submitted a petition to the Prime Minister’s Chancellery regarding the Sunday trading ban.
The petition was signed by the President of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers, Cezary Kaźmierczak, the President of the National Federation of Associations of Merchants and Producers, Jerzy Romański, as well as over five hundred owners of small, family-run shops.
We proposed the introduction of a guarantee of two free Sundays per month for every employee employed under an employment contract. This solution would be much more optimal than limiting Sunday trading.
In the petition, we highlighted both the expedited process of passing the Sunday trading restriction law and the lack of a thorough assessment of the regulation’s impact, as well as the negative consequences of the introduced regulations. Within the first year of its implementation, as many as 16,000 small family-run shops, which the new regulations were supposed to help, were closed. We also pointed out the growing negative social perception of the introduced regulations – as the number of trading Sundays per month gradually decreases, the percentage of opponents to the Sunday trading ban increases.
TRADE FAIR PLUS
The unpredictable situation related to COVID-19 has hit the trade fair industry very hard, effectively freezing it from March until now. On a global scale, this has led to thousands of canceled events and losses measured in billions. As the National Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, we cannot remain indifferent to the plight of organizers and entrepreneurs participating in trade fairs in our country.
Together with the National Chamber of Fairs, we invite you to join the TARGIPLUS program, which aims to assist exhibitors who have suffered losses due to canceled trade fairs. As part of this initiative, companies can receive up to 100% funding for participation in trade fairs that have qualified for the program.
Organizer:
The TARGIPLUS program is not only financial support for businesses, but thanks to the generosity of the organizers, it also includes:
The possibility of a temporary, non-binding booth reservation. Considering the challenging situation during the pandemic, we aim to revive the trade fair industry by taking the risk upon ourselves, rather than burdening the exhibitors.
Priority in choosing the optimal booth location during the trade fair. In consideration of the costs incurred for trade fairs that were canceled due to COVID-19, we aim to enhance the impact of participation for the exhibitors who were affected.
Participation in a series of organized meetings with foreign buyers, whom we invite to the trade fairs together with the organizer. Entrepreneurs will visit the stands and hold meetings with EVERY exhibitor participating in the program.
Support for booth construction. During consultations for the program, we also invited booth construction companies that have declared their assistance in this area. The topic will be considered on an individual basis during the application review process.
To participate in the program, you need to complete the application form, which can be found below and in the DOCUMENTS section.
